Addressing the Special Needs of Seniors
As we age, we begin to notice changes to our bodies and smiles. Our teeth
are not as dazzling as they once were. Tobacco and caffeine consumption
often darken our tooth color. Fillings may become loose and need to be
replaced before decay sets in. Certain medications may result in reduced
saliva and a dry mouth. We can keep on top of any of these problems with
regular check-ups. Gum disease and root decay are frequent problems for
seniors, and it is important to take care of these conditions in the
earliest stages. We advise to continue or return to good nutrition and
dental hygiene to help keep your gums in good condition.
